Scope
Following the first workshop W(H)YDOC 02 (Paris, December 4 - 6,  2002), the scope of W(H)YDOC 05 is to bring together young geotechnical doctors within an informal three days invited Workshop, to allow for the presentation of ongoing researches carried out during their PhD thesis. Students completing their last PhD year are also welcomed. Several senior researchers from various European Universities will act as discussion leaders during the sessions. The Workshop is aimed at favouring informal and constructive exchanges about recent research results and ideas.

Organization
No specific research topics are suggested, in order to highlight the variety of the researches presently carried out in the invited universities. The number of contributions has been limited so as to allow for individual presentations and discussions of all contributions. The official language is English.

Six sessions have been foreseen on the three days workshop, each day workshop will be opened by an invited keynote lecture held by an eminent geotechnical scientist. Sessions will be coordinated and animated by a discussion leader (professor) and a secretary (young doctor). Scheduled time for the presentations is 35 minutes, each session will be followed by 20 minutes of discussion.

The participation to the workshop is free, it includes coffee breaks and workshop proceedings. The participation to the workshop does not include lunches. The latter will be covered by the organization for all contributors and discussion leaders.
