Achieving a 16 week (at least) internship is compulsory for unemployed students or students with a project of carrer change.
The programme runs over 15 months (block release organization):
- Core programme - 300 hours
- Optional advanced modules - 150 hours at least
- Professional assignment (16 weeks at least for unemployed students)
- Professional thesis and viva
September to July: on average 1 to 2 weeks of courses per month (block release organization).
From July: full-time professional assignment until December.
Classes begin on Monday at 10 am and end on Friday at 4 pm..
Besides 6 hours of classes, course days may include a visit, a lecture or a work in small group .
The thesis can be done as part of a placement for students or people on secondment, or, for employees in a sandwich organization mode, as a research/development topic chosen in consultation with their employer.
Degree awarded with an overall average grade of 12/20 and the validation of 81 ECTS
- Writing of a professional thesis as part of a placement or within the company for employees in company training: 30 ECTS
- Writing of a short feasibility study for a transport project: 24 ECTS
- Test covering 9 teaching modules of 30 hours (4 from the core programme and 5 from the optional modules): 27 ECTS
Classes take place at Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, in Champs sur Marne, at ENSIAME in Valenciennes or at UTC in Compiègne. The modules are often accompanied by a site visit.
