The engineering degree program at École des Ponts ParisTech has been awarded the CeQuInt (Certificate for Quality in Internationalisation) label by the ECAHE (European Consortium for Accreditation in Higher Education) for its successful implementation of effective and proven internationalization activities that contribute clearly to teaching and learning quality.
On the basis of pre-existing knowledge in this domain, NVAO (accreditation organization of the Netherlands and Flanders), which represents those two countries on the ECA), has developed and tested a system to evaluate internationalization in teaching programs. The evaluation of those pilot programs resulted in a framework for the assessment of internationalization in educational programs and institutions. The evaluation is carried out in collaboration with France’s CTI (engineering qualification commission) and HCERES (Council for the evaluation of research and higher education). When the evaluation is positive, a specific criterion of internationalization quality is assigned and this is included in the decision to approve audit, which is published with the evaluation report. École des Ponts ParisTech, which has successfully incorporated an international and intercultural dimension into the function, goals and processes of education for an engineering degree, has received a European certificate as evidence of its achievements: CeQuInt (certificate of quality in internationalization). The certificate indicates that students achieve high international and intercultural skills in the School’s engineering degree program.
