CEREA (Atmospheric Environment Teaching and Research Centre)

CEREA is a joint École des Ponts ParisTech and EDF R&D laboratory

Air quality and atmospheric environment

Since December 2005, the laboratory has also housed the INRIA CLIME project team. It works on air quality and the modelling of atmospheric dispersal at different scales, as well as the dynamics of the atmospheric boundary layer near the earth’s surface. There is a particular focus on the environmental impact of energy production (thermal and nuclear) and of transport.

The Centre has long-term collaborations with other institutions, for example with IRSN (Radioprotection and Nuclear Safety Institute) in studies on the impact of radioactive emissions, or with INERIS (National Industrial Environment and Risk Institute) on air quality forecasting.
