DOMAIN MASTERS in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Civil Engineering, Nuclear Engineering

DOMAIN MASTERS in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Civil Engineering, Nuclear Engineering

Masters in Nuclear Energy, specialising in decommissioning and waste management*

The purpose of the Masters programme is to give high-level French and foreign students a grounding in the skills required by the nuclear industry. The stringency and relevance of the curriculum offers industrial firms and businesses a pool from which to recruit students who will quickly become effective in operational roles. It also prepares students for research in the fields of nuclear engineering (reactor physics, modelling and simulation, instrumentation…) and radiochemistry (new fuels, confinement matrices, radioelement migration).

Masters in the Mechanics of Materials and Structures (MMS)*

This Masters programme is a research-based course on the mechanical modelling of heterogeneous composite materials based on the properties of their constituents, with applications in the fields of civil engineering, mechanical engineering and industry in general.

Masters in Materials Science for Sustainable Development (SMCD)*

The SMCD Masters programme provides an interdisciplinary training that brings together elements from physics, chemistry, mechanical engineering and numerical modelling.  it provides openings to international careers in innovation and research. It offers students the most advanced tools for the analysis of semi-ordered materials (cementitious materials, polymers…), for the purpose of optimising the functional properties and durability of construction materials.

Masters in the Mechanics of Soils, Rocks and Structures in their Environment (MSROE)*

The objective of this Masters programme is to train specialists in geotechnical modelling for existing and future high-demand industrial purposes:urban and geotechnical planning associated with pollution and major risks.

Masters in the Materials of the Built Fabric in the Environment (MAPE)#

The objective of the specialty in “Materials of the Built Fabric in the Environment” under the Sciences and Environmental Engineering programme is to give students with a university or engineering school degree in environmental sciences or fundamental science (chemistry, physics, biology, geology), or else in the physical chemistry of materials, an additional grounding in the problems caused by the deterioration of the materials of the built and cultural fabric in man-made environments, whether these are exposed in an indoor (museums, libraries, archives...) Or outdoor context.

* enrolment in the Masters programme at the school is open to students at the School. For the other courses, students from outside the School enrol within the partner universities.
