A transition year

Consolidation of scientific basics, exposure to new disciplinary field, exposure to new ways of working: the first year provides a transition between previous education and the Masters program. The first year helps to train engineers who, whatever their area of specialisation, will be able to rely on:

• a wide scientific culture sufficiently robust to serve as a base for subsequent development,
• a capacity for rigourous scientific reasoning and the ability to draw on different disciplines to resolve new problems,
• an understanding of the world and human relations that will serve them in managing teams and making decisions.

The first year is divided into three stages: 

• the professional work experience placement, 4 weeks
• classroom training, 24 weeks
• the scientific placement, 12 weeks
