École des Ponts ParisTech has decided to unite all its forces to pursue an ambitious, global-scale development programme.Fondation des Ponts is the vehicle that has been chosen to concentrate all the contributions,from companies and School graduates, in order to carry through these projects.

A joint initiative

The establishment of Fondation des Pontsis a joint initiative by École des Ponts ParisTech and by Ponts Alliance, the School Alumni Association.Its purpose is to enhance the School’s national and international reputation by developing its relations with public and private enterprises.The draft memorandum and articles and non-profit status were officially recognised by decree on October 21, 1997. The first board meeting was held on January 29, 1998.

Initiatives for an international reputation

The aim of the Foundation’s activities is to develop international relations, to consolidate partner networks and to encourage excellence by awarding prizes for internships, Masters degrees or PhD theses.
