Objectives

By pooling the skills of two project teams, one in economics and management (CIRED – international environment and sustainable development research centre and École des Ponts ParisTech / Agro ParisTech) and the other in applied mathematics (CMA– applied mathematics centre, Mines ParisTech), the Chair establishes a resource and forward modelling centre of international range focusing on sustainable development issues.

Themes

  • The Chair’s activities cover four priority areas:
  • A long-term forward-modelling platform to support decision-making on energy and climate policies, industrial development and technological choices;
  • Specific research programmes undertaken in collaboration with our industrial and institutional partners;
  • Regular scientific events for the transfer of knowledge and international academic influence;
  • High level courses to establish a network of skills:funding of theses, training seminars targeting our partners’ needs.
