LIGM (Gaspard Monge Computer Science Laboratory)

LIGM is computer science lab whose research topics cover computer science theory, natural language analysis, image processing and signal processing.

The laboratory is divided into five teams with clearly identified research themes

  • Algebraic combinatorics and symbolic computation
  • Algorithmics
  • Algorithms, architectures, image analysis and computer graphics
  • Computational linguistics

The Imagine project

LIGM houses the IMAGINE research project, a joint École des Ponts ParisTech and CSTB programme. The IMAGINE project began in early 2009 through the partnership between CERTIS (centre for teaching and research in information and systems technologies) and CSTB. IMAGINE conducts research on 3-D image reconstruction with an emphasis on the construction of accurate and labelled digital models of buildings and notable constructions, statistical learning and its applications to computer vision, and physical simulations applied to buildings and urban sustainability.
