A high-level ParisTech programme on the environment and sustainable development. The Masters degree in “Water, Soil and Waste Management and Treatment” (GTESD) is a 16-month vocational degree accredited by the Ministry of National Education, starting in October and finishing in the second January following. Focusing on environmental engineering, this course provides a combined scientific, methodological and technological grounding relating to water, soil and waste. The Masters degree in Water Soil and Waste Management and Treatment is a second-year programme provided by AgroParisTech in partnership with Chimie ParisTech, Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, ENSTA ParisTech, ESPCI ParisTech and MINES ParisTech.
The purpose of this vocational degree is to prepare high-level executives capable of doing innovative work in identifying, managing and tackling environmental problems. It is a response to a need expressed by French companies for the training of managers in emerging countries. The aim is to give international students the strong and broad scientific grounding they need to understand the dynamics of geo-systems (water, soil), to assess the impact of human activities and to implement the tools, techniques and systems needed to correct them.
