The École des Ponts ParisTech library has developed partnerships within a number of scientific and technical information networks.
The Paris-East University research and higher education cluster (PRES)
documentary network : an attractive documentation centre
The “Paris-East University” PRES (research and higher education cluster) is a Public Scientific Cooperation Establishment created in 2006. It is based on a model cooperation between universities, France’s specialist schools and research bodies.
The École des Ponts ParisTech library is an active contributor to several working groups:
The ParisTech research and higher education cluster (PRES) documentary network
The ParisTech Research and Higher Education Cluster is made up of 12 of France’s most prestigious specialist schools, based on 3 large campuses, ParisTech South at Saclay, ParisTech East at Marne-la-Vallée and ParisTech Centre in the heart of the Latin Quarter.

The “Legacy” partners
Since 1997, the École des Ponts ParisTech Library has been an associate arm of the Bibliothèque nationale de France (French National library) for civil engineering and construction. Since 2009, it has been a member of the steering committee for the School’s historical digital library.
Almost 4000 photographs, together with the Annals of the Ponts et Chaussées for the period 1831-1931, have been digitised. This original collection can be accessed on Gallica and in 2011 was enriched by a unique set of the School’s historical courses, covering the period 1820-1936, along with mission journals.
The objective of the Association for the Understanding of Public Works is to promote knowledge about the activities, history and current practices of Public Works. It pursues training and education initiatives in schools.
It has developed a reference site on the civil engineering sector: Planète TP
Professional associations and groups
The École des Ponts ParisTech library is a member of the following associations:
TheURBAMET network brings together professionals in urban planning, housing and transport. The network fosters dialogue and knowledge sharing. Its topic-based portal provides a single access platform to all the urban practitioner sites.
Theses and periodical collections are referenced in SUDOC, a university higher education documentation system.
In 2012, the library’s collections catalogue will be uploaded to SUDOC.

ABES User Establishment Network Association
The École des Ponts ParisTech Library is a member of the COnsortium Universitaire de PERIodiques Numériques, (university digital periodicals consortium), a network for negotiation and appraisal on the purchase of electronic resources.
TheNational Mathematics Library Network &(RNBM) develops national documentary policy for the network’s 63 libraries, and plays an important role in access to electronic documentation for the entire French mathematics community. The library of thethe centre for teaching and research in mathematics and scientific calculus (CERMICS), an École des Ponts Paristech laboratory, is a member of the RNBM.
