The École des Ponts ' Library System is composed of a number of associated libraries:

• The Main Library
• The Historical Collections Library
• The Multimedia Library
• The Archives,and
• specialized libraries in each of its Teaching and Research Centres.

Their role and purpose is to supply the School's students, researchers and professors with the documentation and information services they need.

The numerous collections (including special and virtual collections) and the various information and electronic resources of the libraries cover the academic areas of teaching and research of the School. They focus particularly on civil engineering, a discipline for which the libraries are an associated partner of the Bibliothèque Nationale de France.

The libraries are also partners of Pastel, the on-line, full-text PhD thesis database of ParisTech and a co-producer of Urbamet.
