École des Ponts and Ecole Polytechnique, in close affiliation with Lafarge, combined efforts to create an education programme rather unique in the world : Materials for sustainable development. The Education and Research Chair provides an original combination of the most advanced skills in the areas of physics, mechanics and chemistry, to offer international outstanding training and research in construction materials, to reach sustainable development.

The Corporate finance chair was created in partnership with the Risk Foundation and the ENSAE. It focuses on risk management, which is one of the major challenges in the banking and insurance industry. This chair is specifically devoted to the study of default and credit risks, mathematical modelling, and new management and economics piloting tools.

Created in partnership with EDF, the Adhémar Barré de Saint-Venant chair, focuses on fluid mechanics in the fields of hydraulic and environment.
