| IFCIM is a Sino-French joint ventures dedicated
to training engineers and managers who will occupy key executive positions
in Chinese or Sino-Foreign corporations operating in China and abroad.
It was set up in 1999 jointly by Tongji University and ParisTech, the
Paris Institute of Technology, a consortium of the 10 most prestigious
Master of engineering Institutes in France.
Besides the academic institutions in IFCIM, the supervisory board includes
Shanghai Municipal Government and the French General Consulate in Shanghai,
and major Chinese and French corporations.
Courses offered by IFCIM:
- Shanghai International MBA (SIMBA) leading to the École des Ponts MBA degree,
entirely taught in China, with an optional term or study trip abroad.
In 2005 and 2006, SIMBA was ranked as the 2nd best foreign MBA in China, by world Executive Institute.SIMBA is the 1st MBA in Asia to have been accredited by AMBA.
- Masters Degree courses (first year taught in China, second year and
professional internship in France):
- Management of information systems and geographical applications (École des Ponts
– ENSG – ENST)
- Management and treatment of water, soils and waste (AgroParisTech – École des Ponts
-Tongji University)
- Industrial Risk Management (ENSMP-ENSCP – Tongji University).
- IFCIM also offers French Language classes for Chinese engineers,
specially targeted for Chinese students selected by ParisTech to study
in France.
- IFCIM is a unique example in China of a close binational educational
partnership involving leading academic institutions and industrial corporations
from France and China. It is entirely self-funded and enjoys the full
support of the French and Chinese authorities.
