Founded in 1987, the MBA of the École des Ponts in Paris is the
oldest among the MBA programmes. Created by the late Dr. Celia Russo,
the MBA aimed from its very onset to be an international, vanguard programme
where individual entrepreneurship, cross-cultural enrichment and strong
ethical values were to be at the core of the curriculum. The School has
since opened programmes across the world, exporting its know-how and unique
approach to such countries as Argentina, China, India, Japan, Morocco
and the United Kingdom. Programmes across the world differ from one another,
each bringing its own local character to the overall formula, but the
same quality standards apply globally. The school has today approximately
2,000 MBA alumni world-wide. Currently, the MBA of École des Ponts runs the following MBA programmes:
- Executive MBA
- Master of business administration, accredited by AMBA
- Technology & Entrepreneurship MBA
- Tri-Continent MBA, organised with the Fox School of Business of Temple
University (Philadelphy)
Not all the MBA programmes have the same structure
as the one run in Paris. However, the flexibility built into the Paris
programme allows customising the curriculum to meet the needs of different
countries and regions
The MBA curricula consists of international and local offerings.
International offerings are taught by visiting professors from the École des Ponts
MBA international faculty network. While similar courses may be taught
by different visiting faculty depending on the programme location, international
courses are similar in content and scope the world over. Local courses
are specific to each region and address local issues and topics. They
are typically taught by local faculty members from top academic institutions.
MBA participants can take
courses in any programme other than the one they are officially registered
in. However, some conditions need to be fulfilled before joining any of
the network programmes. |
