Université Paris-Est

École des Ponts is founding member of Université Paris-Est, jointly with University of Paris-Est Marne la Vallée, University Paris 12 Val de Marne, ESIEE and the Laboratoire central des ponts et chaussées. Université Paris-Est was founded in March 2007, spurred on by the ministries in charge of Civil Works and Higher education to constitute a first rank scientific and technical university. Its development is also based on a privileged association with ParisTech of which it constitutes the Eastern cluster.


			Aims



			Université Paris is organised by departments which combine general, technological and professional education. This higher education/research/engineering continuum is closely linked to partner companies of the competitive R&D cluster Sustainable patterns of urban development and mobility, in order to achieve international visibility, thanks to a unique signature of the scientific production and to the capacity to attract high level students, professors and researchers.
