education and research.
Covering nearly the whole spectrum of science and engineering, it forms an entity of comparable status to the most famous universities of technology
around the world.
ParisTech awards approximately 6200 degrees every year and
hosts some 2 500 doctoral students. 500 PhD thesis are delivered every
year.
The Faculty is composed of over 3500 teachers-researchers, belonging to 126 research
laboratories.
The member institutes of ParisTech are well-established publicly-owned
educational and research institutions, many of which were founded back
in the 18th century. Ever since, they stood at the forefront of technological
and scientific developments in their field and trained a majority of the
engineers who gave rise to France's industrial achievements.ParisTech is a member of the IDEA League network.
The École des Ponts plays a key-role in several programmes within the framework
of ParisTech such as "50 chinese engineers at ParisTech ".
