Marc Bocquet is senior researcher and deputy director of CEREA, a joint laboratory of Ecole des Ponts ParisTech and EdF R&D and Professor at Ecole des Ponts ParisTech.
Statut : Professeur
Thématique : Mathématiques, informatique
Département : Ville Environnement Transport
He works in the field of data assimilation and inverse problems in the
geosiences, as well as in environmental statistics. He develops new mathematical methods to better estimate the state of
the atmosphere and the ocean, using large sets of observations and complex models. Moreover, he applies these methods to dispersion and atmospheric chemichal transport models. He is the author of 85 research papers and co-author and co-editor of two books. He teaches data assimilation in the Paris geoscience master degree OACOS/WAPE, of UPMC, Ecole Polytechnique, Ecole Normale Supérieure, ENSTA ParisTech and Ecole des Ponts ParisTech.
