Abdelkader obtained his Phd in Economics at Pantheon Sorbonne University. He has taught for 10 years Macroeconomics, Industrial Organization and Managerial Economics at Pantheon Sorbonne University, Paris Dauphine University, Sciences-Po and Ecole des Ponts Paris Tech. He contributed to the handbook "Keynes and Macroeconomics after seventy years", through a chapter dealing with the determination of a short equilibrium level of Gross Domestic Product, pointing out the existence of an excess of net saving over net investment due to financial instability. He published articles on the impact of currency devaluation on the resolution of the euro area debt crisis, and on the influence of monetarism on the US Federal Reserve policy. He was also a deputy major in charge of economic development, for Argenteuil municipality, a city with 100 000 citizens, where he has designed and implemented the co-working space 'Silicon Banlieue' and a 'Mecatronic Incubator', financed by the European Regional Development Funds.
