A place in movement

2015: Opening of the Raymond Aubrac Project space
2016: Creation of a press, exhibition, and relaxation area in front of the Learning Centre.
Installation of a wall of screens used to disseminate information, reading suggestions, videos, tweets, etc.
Creation of three relaxation areas at the heart of the Learning Centre.
Arrangement of a demonstration zone with an exhibition of the model by the company Echy.
2017: Implementation of the project
The project goes into its operational phase with the support of Studio Chaplain and a graphic and signage designer.
Fondation des Ponts is supporting the School in the implementation of the project.
The project remains imbued with the culture of design thinking. Students on the ME310 program at d.school Paris are particularly involved in developing ideas on transforming an existing project-space into a space “Like home”.
The refurbishment work will be done between May and October 2017, and will focus on:
- remodelling the space;
- acoustic quality;
- electricity and lighting;
- cleaning and renovating the existing site;
- internal layout;
- signage for the rooms and collections, etc.
These adaptations and changes will be carried out in harmony with the structure and architecture of the building, designed by Chaix & Morel.
Once completed, the Learning Centre will offer a new space dedicated to the dissemination and sharing of knowledge. It will be inaugurated during the festivities held to celebrate the 20th anniversary of École des Ponts ParisTech’s move to Champs-sur-Marne.
